Taxpayers for Common Sense led the efforts of eight fiscally conservative groups to support Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) in their efforts to retire nine Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) as requested by the U.S. Navy. These groups came together to write a letter to every Republican in the House of Representatives to support Rep. Smith and Rep. Speier’s amendment to clear the way for these retirements to happen. Because no matter where you fall on the political spectrum, no one wants to see their tax dollars wasted.
