MB Financial, Inc. (MB Financial) is a financial holding company with 73 banking offices located primarily in the Chicago area. The Company also has a banking office in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Its primary market is the Chicago metropolitan area, in which it operates 72 banking offices through MB Financial’s bank subsidiary, MB Financial Bank, N.A. (MB Financial Bank). MB Financial Bank also has one banking office in the city of Philadelphia.  The company was founded in 1911 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. At the end of February MB Financial took control of the assets of Heritage Community Bank. Heritage, located in Glenwood, Illinois, was recently closed by state banking regulators.
In December MB Financial Capital began participating in the Treasury Department’s Capital Purchase Program. Under the program MB Financial received $196 million from Treasury in exchange for preferred stock and warrants. The company is also participating in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program (TLGP).
