The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) within the Department of the Interior (DOI) is in the process of establishing new standards to limit the waste of vented and flared gas and to define the appropriate use of oil and gas for beneficial purposes.

We sent the letter below to Senators Bennet (D-CO) and Gardner (R-CO), and Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper urging them to speak out in support of updating the rule and making sure that taxpayers receive a fair return for natural gas flared on public lands.
