Today, Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS) sent a letter to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee in advance of tomorrowโs hearing entitled, โThe Environmental Protection Agencyโs Renewable Fuel Standard Program: Challenges and Opportunities.โ The letter urges Senators to consider the Renewable Fuel Standardโs (RFS) failure to significantly reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in addition to distorting markets, increasing costs, and spurring long-term liabilities for both consumers and taxpayers.
