Amid the increasing impacts from climate change, EOR has gained attention due to its connection with carbon capture technologies. In the U.S., most captured carbon is used for EOR. Recent legislation has boosted federal investments in carbon capture and its use for EOR, calling into question its overall net climate benefit.
