Taxpayers for Common Sense joined an ideologically diverse group in a letter urging more legislative action to reassert the Congressional role in federal budget issues. Collectively, these issues are referred to as the “Power of the Purse.”  We’re budget nerds and we believe Congressional budget powers have slowly been eroded by the Executive Branch. Congress needs to reverse that trend.
