Cache Valley Bank began as the Bank of North Park, with the name being changed to Cache Valley Bank in 1981. It is a privately owned community bank located in Logan, Utah. In August of 1995 the bank was sold to the Cache Valley Banking Company, a holding company formed to own 100 percent of the bank stock. The holding company is owned by two families and officers of the bank. In late December 2008, Cache Valley received $4.7 million from the Treasury Department under its Capital Purchase Program, in exchange for preferred stock and warrants.
