“It’s perhaps more of a bailout for the president and for Republicans than it is for farmers,” Joshua Sewell, director of research and policy at Taxpayers for Common Sense, a nonpartisan budget watchdog, told the Wall Street Journal last week, “It’s using federal funds to bail the president out of a bad policy.”
