First Manitowoc Bancorp, Inc. operates as the holding company for First National Bank (bank) in Manitowoc, which engages in commercial and consumer banking business. It invests in U.S. treasury securities and obligations of U.S. Government corporations and agencies, obligations of states and political subdivisions, mortgage-backed securities, and corporate notes.

On January 16, 2009, First Manitowoc Bancorp received $12 million under the Capital Purchase Program. The company repaid the funds in full on May 27, 2009.
